FULL STACK JAVASCRIPT SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

My client is a global company who are an industrial supplier with headquarters in Lake Forest, USA. Their focus is to expand European industrial supplier business both through organic and inorganic growth across different channels. A subsidiary of the company launched a European online business in business in 2014 and has just acquired a large established Industrial supply company in the UK. As a result, they are looking for a Full Stack JavaScript Developer to be located in London. This individual over the next few years will play a key role in rolling out our Next Generation eBusiness platform. S/he will work closely with Business and Technical teams to achieve this goal.

With 2014 sales of $10 billion, my client is North America’s leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, with operations in Asia, Europe and Latin America. They are a business-to-business distributor of products used to maintain, repair or operate facilities. Millions of businesses and institutions worldwide rely on them for pumps, motors, hand tools, janitorial supplies, fasteners and much more. These customers represent a broad collection of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, government and hospitality.
They place orders over the phone, at local branches, online and using mobile devices. More than 4,000 manufacturers supply them with the 1million products that are stocked in their branches and distribution centres or sourced through a network of suppliers.

THE ROLE

Must have:

• Understanding of functional and reactive paradigms

• Experience with React, Redux and NodeJS

• Experience with AWS deployments, docker, ansible • Experience with NoSQL DB, Mongo, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ

• Experience in Agile Software Development

• Experience with CSS, component library etc

Bonus Skills:

• Contributions to open source community (e.g. highly ranked GitHub repos, technical blogs)

• Industrial Supplies domain experience

• Enjoys creating simple, effective, efficient, performant and clean code to power new product features, as well as refactoring and improving existing code

• Is comfortable collaborating on the design and user experience

• Cares about shipping high quality products • Can take ideas and run with them • Good understanding of agile development and continuous integration/continuous delivery

• Has experience of building the infrastructure that quickly identifies and surfaces production issues that impact their users
Roles & Responsibilities:

• As a React/Redux Developer you will collaborate with the product owner to define software requirements for programming effort.

• You will design, implement(code + automation tests) for Front End & Back End parts of the application
